Connecting with Allison

About Allison...
Welcome to my blog! Who I am consists of my 3 main values, and these are in order of priority!

1 - My Faith in Jesus.
My faith is the basis of all my thoughts, all my desires, all my decisions, all my convictions, all my motivators...everything.  My faith and belief in Jesus is what allows me to not only be who I am, but it's also what allows me to state my beliefs without feeling I have to please other people.  I rest in following what HE tells me to do and makes me confident. Truly, when you take away every single other thing in my life, Jesus is there.  He makes me solid.  I am so thankful He called me and that I'm a Christian!  I LOVE being a Christian!

2 - Taking care of my family. It brings me sooooooooooo much joy to do the simple, every day tasks of being a wife and a mom.  It brings me the most fulfillment in my life.  I want to be the most intentional about this aspect of my life - always growing in my faith so I set a strong example, always learning how to be a godly wife and mom, taking time for my family, and just taking care of our home.  Seriously, I love it.  I feel teary-eyed just thinking about it!

My Family on the 4th of July -  Husband, Paul, and kids Josiah and Abigail!  Read their adoption stories here!

3 - My PASSION for encouraging and teaching women.

God has given me a teacher's heart!  I'm always thinking how I can break something down and duplicate it so I can help teach others. I pray that God can use me!

Here is my "teaching resume":

  • I currently am a Mary Kay Senior Sales Director - which means that yes, I teach skin care and makeup (super fun!), but mostly, I teach women personal life skills (my favorite!) such as confidence, goal setting, leadership skills, and communicating effectively.
Teaching business skills to women!
  • I was a school teacher for 6 years!  I taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 9th graders with reading difficulties!
My first year of teaching (3rd Grade)!
